Again I’m really sorry that I’ve been so absent, but again some a bit unexpected nice things have happened.

I’m not sure if you guys have caught on to that I’ve meet a girl and that we’ve obviously hooked up… But any how…

We are both very easy going people that luckily are aware that you have one life and you should enjoy it as much as you can, and more or less not worry about stuff, specially small stuff. And as we enjoy each others company so much we’ve been talking about moving in together, but not really setting a date. You know, just going with the flow and taking it easy as it comes.

Well, we more or less finalised the weekend before this weekend. As in, Lizzie moved in with me which ended up we being busy getting stuff arranged during the weekend and the following week. We went to Ikea this weekend to get some small stuff to make it more suitable for two, but now it seems we are almost finished with all this and can more or less just relax, after this weekend has passed.

To those who wonder if we moved in together too early I ask, what is too early? We’ve just decided to live together instead travelling back and forth to each other. And I’ve heard about couples who have been together for years, and when they finally move in with each other the whole relationship falls apart.

We are not just girlfriend and boyfriend, we are also best buddies in a way. We have so much fun together which is very important in a relationship. Sure, being in a relationship is serious, but it doesn’t mean you can have fun together too, right?

And some might ask me, is she vegan? I have to then say no. And I respect that due to her doctor advices her not to be, and my knowledge about nutrition when you have deficiencies isn’t that great. I have no problems with it, as she fully respect my choice and my medical condition. In other words, we look out for each other.

Enough about us love birds. When things really start to settle I’ll try to post more frequently, but I can’t promise when that’ll be, but hopefully within a week or two at least.

Take care now.

I haven’t grown bored of blogging or lost interest, but most of you know how it is when you meet someone and fall in love, right? There will also be some changes that needs to be dealt with too, so I might not be able to blog that often, but I will try to make an effort of course.

Lizzie and I are now getting ready for a birthday party for a friend of hers, so we’ll be pretty busy this night, and probably tomorrow as we might have a minor hangover to recover from.

I’ll write some more next week. I promise.

Take care now dear readers and friends.

After work on Friday Lizzie and I went to the local pub with out colleagues. Had a few beers and a few laughs.

We had talked about maybe grabbing something to eat after work, but as usual we hadn’t really planned anything. After some mild brain storming we decided to go to Wagamama to have some Asian food. We both went for noodle soup. Which was delicious as usual. Wagamama is so nice.

After eating almost too much we headed home to just slack off and be completely lazy.
Oh yeah.

On Saturday morning we just lay in bed being lazy and cosy.
After we managed to crawl out of bed we went to the local market to get some vegetables for the dinner later that day. Then we headed to city centre to check at some tattoo places and to enjoy the nice weather.

When we got back home we (Lizzie did most of the work) made sweet potato salad. It was the first time I tasted it and it was awesome. That I have to have more often. So glad we both are almost addicted to food.

Later that night we just ended up staying at home, kicking back, listening to music and having a nice time together.

On Sunday we were even more lazy. Hooray to laziness. Eventually we managed to drag ourselves outside for a walk in Amsterdam. Luckily there were a coffeehouse on our way so we could get a shot of caffeine to wake up after our short nap.

As we were walking towards city centre a short drizzle passed by, but after that the weather was all nice again.

After feeling a bit peckish we ended up in a Thai restaurant in Zeedijk. I don’t remember the name now, but that wasn’t the last time for us eating there.

Before we got home we had a fresh pressed juice at Go Fresh which will also earn some money on us. Fresh juice is the only way to enjoy juice. Oh yum!

And Sunday night was like the other nights. Nice and cosy.

This was an absolutely smashing weekend. And I think they will just get better and better.
I’m not calling it a night yet, but I think I’ll stop writing now. Too tired really to write anything good, I think.

PS: Lizzie, you know what? ;)

Just a quicky.

10Apr08

Not too much to say today. Same like yesterday almost. Struggled to get out of bed, did my usual morning rituals. Work was kind of the same, calm and easy.

Spent some time with Lizzie after work. Just hanging out and chatting. We made a yummy pasta with tomato sauce.

Now when I’ve managed to get home I think I’ll just have some soy ice cream and call it a night.

And I might not update this blog until Monday, again, as I’m staying at Lizzie this weekend.

Have a nice weekend.

Take care.

Today too I was really struggling to get out of bed. I felt better so I think it might be pollen or something this is irritating my sinuses. Still I managed to shower, make lunch and have a brekkie. Of course, if I hadn’t been speeding on my longboard I wouldn’t have been so lucky to get the train so I could calmly cruise to work.

It was really nice and calm at work today. The sun was shining and we were all happy and easy going. A colleague of mine noticed this guy who had fallen asleep at the local cafĂ© while having a sandwich or something. We sat and stared at him for a while. Eventually he woke up or someone woke him up. Well, he wasn’t fully awake though, as he was chewing down the sandwich half asleep or something. It was fun while it lasted.

On my last break I went up on the roof with Lizzie to catch some fresh air and enjoy the sun. It was nice. Sooo yeeeaaah…

I made a really nice tomato soup after I got home from work. Very simple really.
A can of crushed tomatoes, some sliced green olives, garlic, red onions, vegetable stock, pasta and spices. Boil up and serve when the pasta is not too soft.

Time for a cuppa and a chat with Lizzie before I crawl in to bed.

Take care.

I had such a hard time getting out of bed today I still question if it was really worth it. Eventually I got out of bed and managed to shave, shower, make lunch, have a breakkie and be at work early.

It seems there are many people at work sneezing and coming down with a cold. I think I’ve caught a mild one which I going to kill off with green tea and my carrot and ginger soup that has been spiked with garlic. I so don’t want to get a cold now as I’m looking far to much forward to this weekend at Lizzie. I will be well before the weekend, no problem. My immune system will do the job as I eat extra healthy now.

I got to ride my longboard to work today, which felt really nice. Just cruising to and from work. Well, during the day it had been raining a bit, so the streets were a bit wet so you might say I was kind of surfing home. Good times.

As I mentioned yesterday very silently is that I’m getting a tattoo in the end of the month. Before some of you who know me start to question why I suddenly have “changed my mind” I just can say one thing to you; you really don’t know me, do you. I’ve thought about getting a tattoo on and off for several years, but as it is more or less permanent it’s nothing I’ve wanted to do just to do it. After some pondering and getting some good feedback I’ve found a place and a motive that suits me very well, I hope. Well, it will be in a not so common place and it’s a design that will be timeless for me and nothing that I will regret.
Where it will be put and what it is? You just have to wait until I’ve done it. He who waits, waits for something good.

Now my soup is ready to be served so I’ll see you all tomorrow.

Take care.

After work on Friday I went to get some vlaamse frites to fill my stomach before I started introducing it to some cold Heineken. There’s nothing like vlaamse frites after a hard days work when you are going to have a few biertjes with your friends.

I met up with Lizzie at the pub as we had agreed on and we sat there enjoying some beer and having a good time with our colleagues. Such a large company so I’m kind of meeting new people everyday. It’s great meeting new people time to time. Make life interesting and fun.

After a few beers and laughs we decided to grab a snack at Wok To Go before we headed home to my place to get totally lazy for the weekend. When we got home just slacked off and watched some TV series and talked. You need weekends where you don’t go out and get totally smashed, but where you just have a few beers and just take it easy the rest of the night, or even weekend.

We woke up earlier than expected, but really didn’t mind as we just stayed in bed chatting for a while. When we managed to crawl out of bed we went outside and I showed Lizzie around in Haarlem and took her to the Natuurwinkel to get some food for us during the rest of the weekend.
She even found some really cool Nudie Jeans and some totally awesome DC shoes.

After we got home, dodging rain and hail, we had a small lunch and just slacked off for a bit before going to AH to get a 6 pack of Hertog Jan (best Dutch beer so far).

Later on we cooked a truly yummy chickpea curry with spinach and some mixed rice. We had a few beers and enjoy two films that night. Staying up late and just having fun. Eating good food. What more can you ask for?

On Sunday we woke up to the sun lighting up the whole flat, even if all the blinds were down. After staying in bed for a while just being lazy we got a bit worried as it started to rain a bit, but it was just a small shower, luckily. I suggested we should grab the chance and go to Zandvoort aan Zee.

At the train station we learned that they were working on the tracks so we had to take the bus. We almost missed it, but because of the nice NS staff stopped the bus for us so we didn’t have to wait for the bus another 30 minutes. We even got to ride the bus for free.

First thing we did in Zandvoort were to find a place were I could eat too.
I’m so grateful for people we respect my IBS and that I’m vegan. That means a lot too me.
We found a nice Italian restaurant. Lizzie got tagliatelle with some nice creamy sauce and salmon. Even if I’m vegan it looked really nice. I got the pizza without cheese. It was amazing. Best pizza I’ve had in years.

After filling our tummies with delicious food and an espresso each we went to the beach to enjoy the sun and the sea. Even if it was windy it was such a nice walk on the beach.

After we got home from Zandvoort we just crashed in the TV chairs and watched TV. For some strange reason the TV has this strange hypnotic effect. We didn’t go to bed until around 11 pm or 12 am. Which resulted in us snoozing like crazy this morning.

This weekend has been totally awesome. I haven’t had so much fun for ages. So we actually already on Saturday decided to repeat this weekend this up coming weekend, but at Lizzie’s place. Two amazing weekends in a row, is that possible?
Ooohhh yyyeeaahhh.

ps: I’m getting a tattoo in the end of this month.

Yesterday after work I met up with Lizzie to hang out. Same as last weekend we had just planned to meet up, so we went to the Bolhoed for some more amazing vegan soup as we both were feeling a bit peckish.

After a nice bowl of soup and some laughs we went say hi to two of some friends of her. We were just talking and having a really good time. So as usual time just flew by and I weren’t really that tempted to hed back home, so I ended up crashing at Lizzie last night.

It was really tough to get up today, as we kind of got home a bit late. Still it was okay at work today. All the customers were super nice, for some strange reason. Made the day a lot more easy.

I have been tidying up my flat tonight as Lizzie is coming for the weekend. We are going to have a totally amazing weekend, so I might not blog until Monday again or something. See how I feel on Sunday.

Time to just kick back and get ready for bed.
Take care now, and have a nice weekend.

I did the classic thing this morning. Just going to rest my eyes before I get up. Woke up almost 20 minutes later, but luckily not too late. I was getting up earlier than usual as I’ve decided to get to work earlier, so I can leave earlier.
Yes I know. I’m not a morning person, but I prefer getting more out of my day to be honest. I’ll give it a try this week, see how it fits me.

It was rather quiet at work today, but still enough to do. And I’m noticing something I talked about in an earlier post, that some people is really unhappy about work, but kind of handling it the wrong way. And that’s all I want to say about it as I try to just ignore it and do my thing and keep my hands clean.

I finally decided to spend some money and get a widescreen for my iBook as it kind of gets a bit boring watching DVDs and play PS2 on a 12″ 4:3 screen. I went to Mediamarkt with Lizzie to pick up a really nice and cheap 19″ widescreen.

I’ve tested it and it works like a charm. And it will be perfect for the weekend as I’m afraid there will be a lot of DVDs that will be watched.

And I might be getting to borrow a sofa to make the film and gaming more enjoyable. Cheers Lizzie. :)

It was Monday morning. Waking up with the same old questions. Why am I doing this, who am I, which country is this, where am I working and why am I writing these silly questions that lacks all logic and reason?

I actually almost jumped out of bed this morning. And when I say almost, I mean almost. Which means I more or less staggered to the shower instead of crawling. I managed to shower, make lunch and enjoy a nice breakfast this morning. I even had time to read the news carefully too. That was really nice.

Of course, it had to start raining this morning, as I had really looked forward to riding my longboard to work. During the day it cleared up and it looks really promising the rest of the week. I really hope I can surf the streets to work tomorrow.

It was kind of strange being back in the trenches again, but I managed to keep myself alive, still. Takes a lot more bullets and granades to take me down.

I’ve been very happy today and it feels good. Probably because of the weather is clearing up and getting more sunny so I can ride my longboard. Of course, I’m also looking forward to the weekend already, which helps a lot.

And I had a really nice dinner tonight. Spaghetti with tomato sauce.
Yum!

Life is great. :)

Take care.
