A comment on one of my latest entries (Vegan rants and geeky silliness) inspired me to write this short entry.

If you’re too lazy to read that entry and the comment I can try to give the gist of it.
I just made a simple deliberate stereotypical remark about those who choose to eat meat. It was bound to happen that someone would take what I write too seriously. Ironically it was a vegan who did. How funny is that?

This made me just want to tell you and maybe even remind you what my blog is about. It’s all about me, me and only me. Sorry, I’m just joking around, again. What I’m tragically trying to tell you is that I try to write with a hint of humour. I don’t want to be too serious. I try to use satire when I write. And I like using tongue-in-cheek, as I’m (sorry to be) a big fan of irony.

What I’m trying to say is that when you read what I write, don’t take it too serious and have a laugh please (if you hopefully find what I write is funny).

I think this says it all and I should give my wrist a rest as I think I might have RSI. I’m not sure if it is RSI, but the subtle pain kind of gives me a tiny inkling it might be something in that direction.

After I’ve managed my diet so well, I’m now able to live a normal life now, without my IBS making my life too difficult. That means I can now and then be a bit daring with food. I’m still vegan and will be the rest of my life, so those of you who thought otherwise can just jog on. What I mean is that I can have some coffee and something sweet now and then.

When we got home today I treated myself with a toast with hagelslag (made from dark chocolate without milk) and Swedish coffee made with our new coffee plunger. I made myself a caffe mocca with chocolate soy milk. Which later gave me energy to make a nice and simple two-days-until-pay tomato soup.

I thought about jailbreaking my iPod Touch today with Pwnage 2.0.1, as I bought the 2.0 upgrade for the iPod Touch when it got released; but I’m too lazy as it takes a while to do it. And it’s no rush really. I could even wait until the weekend, but I’ll post a short post about it when I’ve done it.

I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I really don’t have much more to say (write about) at the moment. Probably time for us to get some sleep I guess, so we’re not too sleepy tomorrow.

5 day weekend sounds really nice and sweet. 2 day weekends are far too short.

Yesterday I read that the earth will be hit by an asteroid 13th of April 2036 in a Swedish newspaper, Aftonbladet. When I read stuff like that I prefer to do some research on it. I just took at look at Wikipedia and had a good laugh. If Aftonbladet weren’t that eager to get readers, they might have learned after doing some research that the probability that Apophish will hit earth is 1 in 45,000. And if you doubt Wikiepdia you can just look at the sources.

Another thing that I find funny is how much some people hate Wikipedia. If you find it so lacking in good and correct information, help out or just shut up and stop complaining. I like to encourage people to voice their own opinions. It’s when they start to just moan constantly about something without doing anything. Why bother complaining about it if you’re not going to do anything about it? If you’re so unhappy with something, help fix it instead. I assume most people who complain about Wikipedia is more likely to be full of shit than valuable information.

I’m not sure if I should continue writing as the nice French Merlot wine is making me a but tipsy, and by English grammar is bad enough.

I don’t have words to describe how this sickens me. This is so disgusting.
Instead of trying to find better ways to treat their wounded, in wars they should never have started from the beginning, maybe they should try to focus on not starting wars at all or how to solve them without using weapons.
Just a thought.

This is not just a lack of respect for animals, but also a lack of respect for life. It seems like the US government is trying to piss off rest of the world as much as they can, just to see how far they can go. From my point of view they have gone far enough.

This is very amusing, because some meat eaters claim that they know the difference between real meat and vegan mock-meat products like Quorn. I’ve seen this myself when I made pasta bolognese, but instead of meat I used Quorn.

What is also amusing is that some meat eaters are more obsessed about what they eat than vegans are.

This is what happens when customers start rambling and repeating themselves on the phone. I get a bit bored and need something interesting to distract myself with when they say the same thing the 10th time, hoping it will conjure some magic that makes me do whatever they demand me to do.
It becomes ironic when they start accusing me or the company I work for not listening to them. Of course we listen to you, I say as I continue drawing.

This day didn’t start good at all. I first overslept, but was only 15ish minutes late. Still being a bit sleepy and not being a morning person (ie cranky), I got a bit irritated from the morning chatter in the office. I wish for silence and serenity in the morning. Thankfully it has been not too much to do; or it might be more correct to say close to nothing.

After fighting my way through hordes of tourists walking like headless chickens I managed to get on the train. I tried reading my book, but I was too tired and I have a minor headache. I think there is a low pressure coming in over Noord Holland now.

I also noticed that I’ve had a hard time hearing or understanding what people have said to me today. Kind of irritating, but I’m not much of a talker so I really don’t care.

Tomorrow I’m not going out of bed until I’ve gotten at least 6-8 hours of sleep and actually have to get up (ie when the clock starting to close in on 4pm). Saturday is our day off and we have nothing planned at all. Other than buying food for the weekend.

I think this is all I’m able to write today. Or at least what I have energy to write.

I’ll try to enjoy doing the dishes and the laundry now. If I’m efficient, which is highly unlikely, I maybe can play some San Andreas later.

I came to think about a funny story a few moments after I published my previous horrendous article. Hopefully this will entertain you a bit more and make you forget that other article (the one I didn’t write *wink wink nudge nudge*).

My hair is getting fairly long and unruly. It more or less lives it own life now. No, it is not dirty, it has always been like that. Any how, it is getting to that length that putting some hair goo in it makes it only look good for an hour or two. After that it is back to its own crazy self again. It is also a bit too warm to wear a beanie, so I try my best at grooming it in the morning or forcing myself to wear a beanie.

For a few days ago I told Lizzie I would just put a large amount of hair goo in it and ruff it up good. She just laughed and said I should do it. Too bad she forgot that I tend to do silly things like that now and then.

Today I added a good amount of hair goo and did my best at making it stand tall from my head in every direction. I did it so successfully that I got the “have you played with the power outlet today” joke a few times.

The funniest part though is that Lizzie was first a bit shocked that I did it and thought it looked awful unflattering; but after seeing me a few times she got used to the crazy scruffy Wolverine look. She even started to like it, I think.

Even if I’m an introvert I find it fun to shock and provoke sometimes. I guess I will just wear a beanie tomorrow, as I’m tired of having a bad hair day everyday. Not too keen on all that attention everyday you know.

Most people who know me are aware that if I could I wouldn’t work at all. Or at least do something that is not considered real work. The sad and irritating part with this personal opinion is that few people have a hard time understanding that it is an opinion that it is, personal. That’s why I’ve taken the liberty of linking to the dictionary definition of these two words, if you noticed it of course.

The reason some tend to misconstrue this opinion, philosophy or what ever you want to call it, what I personally think, is that they are unable to understand that it is my personal opinion and choice. Not something I try to force on to them. I think they might be too self absorbed and just full of themselves.
Sorry if I sounds rude, but I’m just being honest here. Actually I’m not sorry, I was just trying to be polite.

It’s not that I would stop blogging, because doing something you enjoy I really don’t see as work. It’s the 9 to 5, Mon to Fri, thing that bothers me. I want to do what ever I want when I feel like it. We all have days when we don’t feel like going to work and rather would be at home being lazy. Of course, saying that to your employer is like asking to be fired. Sadly taking some time off to take care of yourself is not popular or seen as important.

I also find it extremely idiotic how this “work system” is setup. At a young age we start school to learn new things. Later on we try to get some kind of education, so we can do that certain job the rest of our life, until the government tells you that you can stop working and then have all the time in your life to do what ever you want. The thing is that you’re not that young any more and you don’t have the energy you might have had, for 40 years ago.

I can respect people that think work is the most important thing in life. If that is the thing in your life that makes you want to get up in the morning, go ahead and do it. Just please can you pull your head out of your arse first and maybe make an effort to try to understand not everyone share that opinion with you? Some of us have discovered this strange thing that we only have one life and we feel we want to do something a bit more exciting than doing the same thing day after day in 40+ years.

I’m really happy and thankful that Lizzie shares my view on this, and that she too would just resign the second she didn’t have to work any more so we could explore the world together.

The irony is that when I have a job I work hard and I’m always on time. Reason might be, shockingly as it may sound, I need money to have the life I like; and with a job I earn money. I think this is the part these narrow minded nitwits miss when I say I wish I didn’t have to work.

I probably stepped on a few toes here, but that is what happens when you express your own opinions to the public. Not that I really care, because if you disagree with me you have the power to stop reading what I write. For some reason people tend to find that fun, to read or watch things that piss them off and complain about it, like someone cared about their opinions.

Apparently I should really stay away from coffee. I was really happy that I was able to have a few cups a day, but after a while my IBS gave me the finger. Which means I’m back on tea again. Luckily I’m a tea addict too, so not really that big of deal, but I just love the taste of coffee and what caffeine does to me.

Think I’ll do the dishes now and maybe, only maybe, I’ll write a short entry later, but there’s a bigger chance I’ll write something tomorrow instead.

Did I do the dishes last night as I said I would?
Nope.

After I had stuffed myself with vegan pyttipanna, the thought about doing the dishes didn’t cross my mind at all as I slouched back on the couch with Lizzie. For some reason that felt so much more nicer than cleaning the wok.

As dinner is fairly simple today, penne with vegan tomato sauce, and that there aren’t too many dishes I think I can spend some extra time writing a random post with a hint of rant in it.

I can’t really put my finger on it, but this morning I woke up like I’ve been on a three day binge or something. Arriving at work all zmobiefied I told myself that I would only drink tea today as I’m starting to get too addicted to coffee (caffeine) again. That wasn’t too easy as I was on the brink to start questioning those calling in for support these simple, but maybe just slightly rude questions:
1. Based on how you’re unable to use a computer; what is your job and how did you get it?
2. Based on how you act on the phone; do you have friends and even a family of your own (I feel sorry for them)?
3. When you try to think, does it hurt?

Fair enough, I’ve used computers since DOS was the only OS to use for desktop computers, so I might be able to do most computing in my sleep. Still, I honestly refuse to believe that people are that stupid and unwilling/unable to learn something new. Specially when they spend so much money on their computers and gadgets. As I’ve met and talked to people that are 70+ and have no problem using new technology. It’s not about lack of knowledge, it’s about will.

So I will sadly repeat myself. My job is to help people with technical issues and giving them a solution for it, not teaching them how to use their new computer. They can take a computer class or something. Keeping your mind fit is vital to if you want to try to prevent Alzheimer. Getting angry at me because you don’t know how to use your computer even after I’ve explained it extremely thoroughly will just increase your chance of giving yourself a heart attack. Even if I want you off the phone, that’s not really how I want it to happen.

That felt good.
This was just a bit of the rant I had plans for writing yesterday, but didn’t have time for. And I will try my best at not writing about it too much, but it is one of my pet peeves. As I honestly have a hard time understanding why some people are unwilling or unable to attain more knowledge. Is knowledge really that scary for some?

Tomorrow, if I have time, I will write about another thing that might provoke some people even more, as people always tend to misconstrue what I say about this certain topic, because they are narrow minded and being too self absorbed.

Yesterday I thought about writing a not too long, but not too short, article based on my experience as a first time book critic. Today I thought about writing an article with two or three random topics that has been spinning around my head today. But I’m left with this, possibly very short, rant about not having enough time to write longer articles during the weekdays.

Some might jump the gun and say that is just pure prioritisation, which I will reply back at that is what I’m doing. As I maintain this blog just for fun, I love writing and it’s a nice way to (hopefully) improve my English more and more, I kind of have to have it just as a hobby.

As most of you know, most hobbies comes last when it comes to having a steady income, keeping up with housework and such. Of course, I could come straight home from work, ignore the dishes, the laundry and just eating some toast with Vegemite Marmite swallowed down with some chocolate soy milk; and spend rest of my “free” time writing. As Lizzie comes in the door I’ll just tell her to do everything and cook dinner. Later on waking up outside on the street with a big dent in my head from a frying pan and only remembering some screaming and rambling behind my back.

Luckily I have a good memory and do most of my drafting in my head before most of my articles end up being published. Unlike this one where I’ve been just writing any randomness that has come to mind.

I’ll do the dishes tonight so I can just get home and start writing. Time and that I want to be a good fiancée isn’t just what makes me prioritise like this, it’s also because I tend to procrastinate.
